Fahrenheit 9/11: Persuasion or Propaganda?

As i watch Fahrenheit 9/11 it only makes me hate Michael Moore even more than i did before. I don't agree with some of the things that Bush has done, but i am still a Bush supporter. I think that Michael Moore should keep his comments to himself. He has taken advantage of the movie by putting words to Bush on tape and is trying to persuade everyone to agree with him by this. It makes me angry that all he does is point fingers, if he is so concerned about the country he should run for president.

I completely disagree with Elizabeth's comment. Michael Moore did nothing but show America how we made a horrible decision by electing George W. Bush president. Words were not put into Bush's mouth, the footage Moore shot was real. Moore wanted us to know that maybe if Bush would have spent more time thinking about the country and less time about his fishing trips, 9/11 would have never happened. When Moore told us about how Bush just sat there for more then ten munites after hearing the news about the attacks, I wanted to scream. The attacks on 9/11 were preventable if people would have done their jobs. This was an issue where certian people were responsible and fingers needed to be pointed. Moore just wanted us to see the real truth. My finger is pointing directly at Bush for his lack of concern.

Yes Michael Moore can be harsh at times and rude but all i think he is trying to do is open our eyes. Fahrenheit 9/11 reminded me just how much i despise Bush. And yes Moore is pointing fingers but with good reasons. He explains so many things in the film and opens my eyes to so many things i did not know at all. Frankly i've always thought Bush was an arragont idiot and watching Fahrenheit 9/11 just made me dislike him even more. He should have never ran for president. He's clueless and never seems to make the right decision. All he seems to do exceptionally well is run away from the white house when he is most needed and go fishing. We need a president with brains, not with a batch of fish.

WOW! Elizabeth i think i have so much more respect for you. The fact that you had the guts to say "As i watch Fahrenheit 9/11 it only makes me hate Michael Moore even more than i did before." and "i am still a Bush supporter" is amazing(not sarcastic). Even though i am not a fan of Bush, I do agree with your opinion on "Moore's" making of Fahrenheit 9/11. I think he comes off as to opinionated and a little obnoxious!

As a matter of fact Michael Moore was putting words into the mouth of president George W. Bush. By saying things like do you suppose that Bush regrets going fishing now and other comments where he supposes as to what president George W. Bush is either thinking or doing. You are being very unfair by putting all the blame on Bush, when he deserves only a small amount of the blame. The real blame should be placed on the terrorists who attacked America deserve a lot of the blame. If there were no terrorists we wouldn't have been any September 11th. Some blame should be placed on the security agencies of this country including: The CIA and NSA. These agencies deal with thousands if not tens of thousands of threats every year, and have the extremely difficult job of sifting through the threats to see which are credible and which are not. Its true that if there was better communication between agencies then maybe this potential attack would have been looked into harder but hindsight is 20/20. This fat joke of a man makes me angry because he is using his talent at making films to brainwash people into believing the lies and deceit found in this movie. Moore did not want to "see the real truth" he wanted to use his piece of propaganda to get as many people as he could to believe his perverted view of the world. Its over.

I disagree with you, Travis. I don't think Moore is being unfair at all about putting the blame on Bush. I think he deserves it. He flat out failed on keeping us safe. He failed us and i believe Moore has all the right to point that out. The blame should be put on Bush and the government for not doing their jobs. This situation might have been prevented if they were doing their best. I like how you say "The real blame should be placed on the terrorists who attacked America deserve a lot of the blame" and "If there were no terrorists there wouldn't have been any September 11th". Well of course the terrorists are the ones to blame for the attack but the government and Bush are the ones to blame for not stopping that attack. AND if we didn't have such an inept president like Bush, September 11th might have never happened.

YES! Luciana I completely agree with you. How can someone say that SOME of blame should be put on president Bush? I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure he is the leader of our country and responsible for anything that happens to us. You can't just go and tell a terrorist "Hey can you please not blow up our citizens?" Not going to work. Airport security is where a ton of the blame should be put as well. When someone is trying to get into the the U.S from another country and on their residence section they put 'hotel', you have to be an IDIOT for not alerting someone! On top of that, they were taking flying lessons! All when there was an alert for terrorists taking over planes and trying to crash them!! Maybe they tried to reach Bush but couldn't get ahold of him because he was out on vacation half the time! Bush ran our country into the ground. Moore only showed us how exactly he managed to do that.
