I NEED A DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER

Spurlocks Documentary Supersize Me accurately identifies the problem with the fast food industry and the effects it has on one's health. He also showed ways we can can solve the problems with unhealthy/harmful foods being offered, especially in schools. I do believe his experiment was valid but i think the rules were a little extreme and outrageous. Maybe I'm uneducated in this area, but its hard to believe someone would get fast food for all three meals for a month. The other possible problem with the experiment was the Spurlock had gone into the documentary and experiment attempting to reveal fast food's dirty secrets. so Hindsight bias probably occurred and you could almost tell there was hindsight bias when he was talking about his arms feeling heaving after eating the quarter pounder.

I agree with Allie. I think that this documentary accurately showed how unhealthy McDonalds and other fast food restaurants in general are. He also did a good job of exposing how unhealthy school lunches are in American cafeterias. His video of cafeterias has made the government act in positive ways and helped to make a show called Shaqs Big Challenge. The show starring Phoenix Suns Center Shaquille O'neal, helped kids lose weight and helped to get healthier foods in school cafeterias.
I also agree that the rules of this experiment were extreme. I don't think that most people eat fast food every meal, every day. However, there may be some and those who already do eat this kind of diet see the impact of it every time they step on the scale. I did seem like he was trying to take down McDonalds in the movie, but I think that he had good intentions.

I agree with both Allie and Travis, this movie was a good way to get a point across to America. Like Michael Moore, Morgan Spurlock used scare tactics to frighten Americans out of eating fast food, McDonalds in particular.
After watching this movie i was actually frightened to eat at McDonalds in fear of all of the calories and the nasty ingredients they use, such as the bad chicken they pinpoint in the movie. I think in a way Americans do need this type of movie to get major points across such as obesity, or any type of preventable death causes.
Although this movie was taken to the extreme by having him eat 3 meals a day from McDonalds i feel like it was a good idea to show the effects just as an expereiment.

I agree with what Allie said about Spurlock going a little overboard with the fast food. I find it hard to believe any normal person would eat it for every meal. I agree that Spurlock does a good job of identifying the problem and giving ides of a ways to fix it. Targeting the problem in schools was brilliant. I didn't realize how unhealthy simple school lunches were.
