Mean Girls

After watching mean girls with a new look on gender i have found that the movie is a good representation of how girls and boys act in high school and how different they are. i found it so ridiculous that Cady thought she had to act like she didn't know how to do math so that Aaron would like her. It also shows clearly the difference between girls and guys because never in the movie did any guys (except for maybe Damion) betray any other guys. On the other hand many girls are always striving to be the prettiest or the most popular in school . It also made it seem that guys only want sex from a girl, this was the scene in the lunch room when that guy came up to Cady and asked her a question and Regina cut in and asked if Cady wanted to have sex with him and she said no, so Regina told him he could go shave his back. That also made men look like they take advantage of girls who are innocent and in a new environment, because Cady was still new to the school and extremely oblivious of what was going on. Although this movie is made up and the gender stereotypes are stretched out a bit, it still shows how high school creates many gender stereotypes as well as stereotypes in general of groups of people.

Its so true this movie does show the things girls do to be liked, and to feel excepted. When Cady dumbs herself to get Aarons attention it shows how some girls think of themselves and how they think that boys prefer a "dumber" girl. Elizabeth is also right when she says that some of the guys in the movie just wanted sex. That also showed how some men think of women and how differently they treat them.
The movie also showed how girls communicate and how different it is from guys. girls prefer gossiping and a lot of backstabbing.

Girls do crazy things to be noticed, accepted and wanted. And The movie Mean Girls definitely portrays this, even if it is a bit exaggerated. Its funny how Cady pretended to be dense so she had a 'reason' to talk to Aaron and so he would like her. Its also funny how the movie showed how some boys will talk to girls. In the movie most of it was sexual and like Elizabeth said most of the boys just wanted sex and nothing more. Above all i love how this movie shows the war between girls. Their is a lot of backstabbing, gossiping and not a whole lot of kindness. It is a vicious battle and no one seems to win, ever. Girls just keep on backstabbing and spreading those nasty rumors around. It's just sickening to know that this movie pretty much does show real life between the girls and guys during highschool.
